Wearing Wedding Ring in Various Countries
wedding ring is worn on right hand in few countries whereas on left hand in few other countries. In United States, United Kingdom, Italy France, Iran, Sweden, Pakistan, Common Wealth countries, Chili, Japan, Ireland and Korea it is worn on forth finger of left hand; if thumb of left hand is considered as first finger. Other countries where ring is worn on right hand includes Germany, Norway, India, Poland, Russia, Spain, Columbia, Venezuela, Greece and Slovakia. In Eastern European and Orthodox Christian countries, wedding ring is normally worn on right hand. Jews couples wear ring on right hand at time of wedding but on left hand after wedding ceremony is over.
