How I Discovered English Saddles
If you put a saddle in front of me, I probably would not even know the right word for it. That was at least until I got to college. I knew absolutely nothing about horses or the accessories they wear. I occasionally saw horse riding on television, but it did not catch my interest. I met a girl in college who was absolutely obsessed with horses. At first I found this weird, but she actually taught me a lot. She was in my creative writing class and one day we had to write about something we loved. She wrote about horseback riding, and brought in a few English saddles. They were so pretty. She explained how she used them when she entered horse shows and how they range in a variety of purposed. I am glad I got to know this girl and discovered English saddles and their uses.
