Extremes: Rugged Computers
Due to the extreme work that their users must be involved in, rugged computers are designed to operate in harsh environments, with vibrations, temperature extremes and water and dust. Rugged desktops, laptops, notebooks, tablet personal computers, and personal digital assistants are used by the military, by emergency workers, as well as by the mining industry. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of rugged professions that need rugged computers to keep them with up to date information and communication to be on top of their job. These computers make a big difference in the work that these people perform and it would not be possible if they weren’t nearly indestructible.
